Mr Remington,

At the risk of Mr Chaz thinking he has a convert, I have to say I agree with most of your postings. The things we disagree on are rather immaterial (some of my mechanics are a little different due to past injuries) so they don't apply to most people anyway. I thought I was going to be skinned alive when I told someone that NG and Moe are 2 different swings. But that too is immaterial to me. What matters to me is the improvement in my game (I have very set goals and timeframes for them). The main thing I agree with you one is the lack of need for professional instruction to improve provided you understand the mechanical aspects of the swing. My golf buddies refuse to beleive I have never taken a lesson other than the video tapes. I think too many people are so used to an industry that over anyalizes the golf swing they refuse to believe you don't have to do this here. The best advice I was ever given was from Chi Chi when I met him last May. He said "Don't fight the swing let it happen" He also said "Stop looking for reasons you lost, Find a reason to win"
