On the other forum there is now a thread called the absolutes for SA golf. There are approx. 8 points of reference. Head over knee, hands ahead, trail shoulder lower than lead shoulder, wide stance(for most methods), palm grip, and trail arm aligned with shaft, shoulders square at impact, and possibly a flat trail foot at impact(again for most) etc.. You agree in your reply to him that these are criteria.

Now if the guy I met uses 90% of these and discards the hands high and holds them low as in CG you wish to totally remove him from the SA category. You state a palm grip and wide stance don't = SA. Technically your correct...his trail arm is not aligned. He is definately a player of these SA methods we study and has some very strong influences. His palm grip and wide stance are very NG, Moe, IMA, or whatever you want to call him but he is not conventional. His swing is closer to Moe than my hands high version and his scorecard reflects that. Maybe we can agree to call these SA hybrids Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition or FUBAR....or another translation of your choice :-)
