Subject: Hate and anger

In the last month we have seen two very important things occur on this forum. One good and one not so good.

The good one has been that subjects of importance have been raised and for the most part some great discussion has occurred.

The bad one is that before the intelligent discussion has been fully explored or exhusted nasty language and arguments have interupted the discussion. This is such a shame.

There are two ways to unmasked the real personality of people. One is to administer "Truth Sermon" and have him spill his guts and the other is to allow them to speak anonymously. I think this form might be serving to reveal something about PNG personality that others have not seen before, namely deep anger and hostility among many of the educated. Something I have never withnessed among the "Uneducated" villagers I have encountered.

Now the question is to try to find out why this is happening. Is it a cultural thing carried over from ancient tribal survival of the fittest where one tribe had to constantly fight off others for control of territory and other possessions? This can be said of all humans by the way. It just could be that there hasn't been a long time in the evolution of the people of PNG. OR!!! Could this be the result of a person from a remote village being suddenly educated and reconizing that he and his family are (were) living very far in the past while the rest of the world progressed? These statements are not not meant to be insults. Revealing the reason for this anger could go a long way in learning how to best approach certain societies and ease the stress of moving forward into different lifestyles should they desire to do so.

I hope I made myself clear on this one. If I didn't then I know for sure I am about to get a real head bashing from the angry ones in our forum. If I didn't then some one who understands where I am coming from please jump in and explain it better.
