Subject: Expats need culture training.

All Expats working in PNG for more then 30 days should be required to take a 12 to 16 hour training course on PNG culture and environment.

Topics of study would include Customs, Disease, Climate, Terrain and Animals.

This is a common practice in the military services of the world when their troops are sent to foreign lands. This is done to prepare the soldiers for the new environment and goes a long way in lowering the risks both to the soldiers and the countries they visit.

This class should be government sponsored and regulated. Independent contractors and not the companies should provide the classes.

This would help insure that the Expats in our country are not making ignorant mistakes that can get them into trouble and it will help them be better workers in the field when working with our people.
