BIG DIFFERENCE.
We followed the white man because we just didn't understand.
It has nothing to do with being tricked.
Most white people, at least in the beginning, were very helpful to us and tried their best to teach us.
However they only saw the outside parts of our culture.
They had no idea how many aspects of our society would end up being destroyed and unstable because of their influence on us.
You now see the broken results of melanesian society in PNG.
Stail meris, gambling, con games all over, corruption from top to bottom, raskol activities.
All because of the corruption of our society which was very stable before outsiders came.
