This was a very enlightening explanation, thanks.
I think most of us truly blame ourselves and our own leaders and people far more than those who came in to help. Maybe the tragedy of outsiders coming in to help was that most of them didn't know what 'help' was. Help was not to make us dependent and beggars, when we used to be self-reliant and proud. No one wanted to make us that way either but because outsiders came in ignorant of the process, the worst possible result was achieved in some cases.
