Re: Somebody with a clue -- Patch, 15:20:11 05/31/03 Sat
Your comments are right on! Jordan's numbers may be suspect but remember his backcourt mate will be Jamar Wilson. They could form an interesting duo and if Jamar continues to play as he did as a Frosh, gains some weight and cuts down on the TOs the 2 of them could take a lot of pressure off each other.
As for the 7'er realize that he is definately not Big East caliber but he has worked out for 2 year against Big East competition and he will be facing lesser in the AE, YES it's a gamble but when you have a chance to get someone 7'1" 280lbs from the Big East and your inside game sucks you take the gamble.
With all that said we have to wait 2 years anyway to find out. I for one feel very good about having a Wilson/Jordan backcourt with a 7'1" center in 2004/05. We are a developing program and I think that if those 2 transfers were on our roster this year we might have had a solid year.

Re: Hoop Knowledge??? -- czar, 17:28:38 05/31/03 Sat
Nate Doorenkamp is better then Justin Rowe. Not even close. Nate is a skill guy and BC run's alot of flex. Doorenkamp plays a ton because his position needs to be skilled.
You can jump on Jordan all you want. His team was awful this past year and every team keyed on him because they were bad. The coaches in the MAAC voted him ALL MAAC 3rd team. They know alot more than you. Most transfers leave because they don't play or are not happy with their role. Jordan left for other reasons. Look at his frosh stats when he was MAAC All Rookie. OVer 13ppg. He will be a double digit ALl AE guy. At least one of the teams. MAAC is much better overall then the AE.
As for Zoellner? He is better than Rowe. I know one of the assistants at BC and he said that Zoellner did not fit their system. He said that Zoellner will be a double digit scorer and compete for the AE rebounding title. Too big and strong not too. Not skilled enough for BC. He will be able to guard Billings!
That Ludmil guy stinks! How many foreign guards in the college ranks that are good?

Re: Some miss-information -- lsbal, 15:15:46 05/31/03 Sat
Czar-Jerryl Parker started for Loyola,Chicago. He was 2nd on the team in avg pts scored. The reason his playing time was down was due to a severly sprained ankle.

Parker got "no run" at Loyola? As usual, you don't know what you are talking about. Parker started for Loyola and was their third leading scorer.
