Subject: Maine and Vermont to battle for #1 baseball seed

After the Catamounts play a mid-week doubleheader at Northeastern, they will travel to Orono for a 4 game series Friday and Saturday. Vermont stands at 13-3 and Maine at 15-5. Vermont will end up playing 2 less games (vs. Northeastern) than Maine. I'm not sure of the various scenarios, but it figures that once again an AE baseball title might be tainted due to a team not playing a full conference schedule. Is there a reason why the league office couldn't have been more adament about Vermont and Northeastern making up their postponed games?

I have to agree with you. It seems like every year the schedule is not completed. If the remaining games between Northeastern & Vermont, could determine the final outcome in the standings, then the AE should require those games to be made up. All teams should be playing the 24 conference games that are scheduled.

Glad you agree.....especially considering that the games were originally scheduled for April 5-6......OVER A MONTH AGO!
