Ok, so I believe the *hypothetical* tiebreaker would go like this...

-Maine vs. Vermont: split, 2-2
-Both teams vs. Stony Brook (next highest team): both 3-1
-Both teams vs. Northeastern: Maine 3-1, UVM 2-2 (remember the condition of this hypothetical).

So, in theory, if Maine and UVM were to split this weekend, Maine could make a mathematical case for getting jobbed out of the #1 seed. That would be a scenario where it would be the right thing to do to make up those 2 games (or, at the very least, the first one if UVM were to win). However, I would argue that if UVM, say, went 3-1 this weekend, there's nothing tainted about their league title...24 games or not. They'd have 18 wins, a feat unmatchable by anyone.

Or...they could just hurry up and play this Vermont/Maine series and decide this stuff on the field!
