Subject: Worcester Academy vacany

Morgan "Mo" Cassara joined Brian Gregory at Dayton earlier in the week. Here are some early applicants at Worcester Academy. Quinnipiac assistant Bob Tipson, Boston English Head Man Barry Robinson, URI assistant Pat Clarke and former Bryant College Head Coach Ed Reilly, who appears to be the top candidate as a Worcester native and former Holy Cross assistant. Rumor has it that Reilly has a good relationship with Worcester Academy AD Pat Smith. Pat is a long time girls coach in the city of Worcester and worked the Holy Cross camp each summer when Reilly was on the staff there. Guys give me your thoughts. The job supposely pays $50,000 a year.

The Worcester Telegram & Gazette reported today that Reilly got the job (AD and men's basketball coach). He apparently was appointed yesterday.

First off, there is no way that job pays 50 grand, unless there are a lot of other duties. Second, this was on the board already on Monday.

Obviously, there is more duties than just coaching any prep school job includes those assignments. Mo Cassara was assistant AD, handle sports information, taught class and may have coached another sport which I believe was baseball. I know his predasuccessor, Tom Blackburn did coach baseball as well as men's hoops. I curious about what Cassara relationship was to Gregory. Gregory was a Midwest guy and Cassara an East Coast guy from Philly. Cassara never sent any kids to Michigan State, Greg's old school. I wonder if New England godfather Leo Papile played a role in this. I know he got Cassara the job at Worcester back in 1999. Papile is an extremely powerful guy. He over the years has orchested so many prep school hirings like Smith to Brewster, Barton at ND Prep and he got Barton the job at Tilton when ND was shut down.

Ean, you really need to do further research before you post such ignorant comments. Seriously, man.

Coach Cassara was in the Alumni Development Office at WA. He didn't teach class and for three years he worked in admissions office at WA. Coach Cassara is a class-act. I'm sure Coach Gregory and Coach Cassara got to know one another when Michigan St was recruiting Jarrett Jack a couple years back.

Coach Smith going to Brewster had absolutely nothing to do with Leo Papile. Have any BABC players been at Brewster? Brewster was a non-successful class B school when he went there, now they're a strong Class A program. It's been accomplished from hard work.

Coach Papile had 0 to do with Coach Barton going to Tilton School for a year. He probably heard about the job vacancy at Tilton from Coach Smith at Brewster.

Man, you really have some issues, eh?
