Teresa glances at Lian and Gabe, both with shocked and uncomfortable expressions, and smothers yet another laugh. "If I'd KNOWN this was going to be comedy hour..."
"Teresa, HONESTLY!" Lian is flushing bright red.
Gabe says nothing.
"Here, I'll answer for you, Strife. The Agency didn't like partnerships on the job. Romance was discouraged. That's why we're not married." Lian glances at Gabe, who gives her a grateful look. Talking about marriage, especially with his partner, is obviously one thing he isn't good at.
Teresa smirks. "Actually, it's more along the lines of 'he hasn't proposed yet', the big dummy."
"You can shut up now, Teresa."
