Subject: Training to chew firestone.... EVERY SINGLE GREEN HAD BETTER DO THIS - OR ELSE!

*Kylith lets out a relieved sigh and basks in the warm Igen sun as S'sha grimaces. "How I'm gonna do this without having a fighting-" Pardon? "-a non-firestone-chewing dragon I'll never know. Ah whell, it's simple enough." She motions for everyone to gather 'round. "All righty then. This," she holds up a small chunk of the phosphorine-bearing rock, "is firestone. Your dragon will chew it to breathe flame. This is mostly trial and error, so be patient." She grins a little. Many times had she endured Resa and D'ket's gripes about how hard it was. "Now, the fire stone sacks are in a pile-" she points, "right there. Go grab a sack or three. This'll take practice." She pauses and waits for them to do so. "Feed a good-sized chunk to your dragon." You should be thinking of your second stomach. Be careful when you chew. It is not a good idea to bite your cheek or your tongue, Kylith adds to the young dragons. "After they eat it, wait a few moments and tell them to belch." It is natural enough. S'sha laughs under her breath at her queen's comment. "Most will kinda spit out a little flame. Keep giving them more, and practicing more, and try to sustain a long, wide flame. And watch where you throwing that flame!!" She adds, making sure everyone got the point there. "After you chew, your dragon will... ah..." Blow chunks. It will come out as grey ash. "Gee thanks Kylith, that's just the tactful phrase I was looking for." The Weyrlady rolls her eyes as Kylith's whirl in an amused shade. "There's a pit down past the Bowl, where you can leave the stuff. It'll be about a half hour before your dragon needs to-" Hurl. "-regurgitate. Kylith, I swear, where do you get this stuff?" Blame K'u. "I will, trust me." She shakes her head with a rueful grin. "Alright, everyone, practice and you'll get it eventually. That's all I can say. Ralek, Taliath, come here and I'll teach you how to use a flamethrower." She motions for the young queenrider to approach. Walking briskly to her own flamethrower, she points towards Ralek's leaning near the wall. "Simple to use. Point nozzle, press button, flame comes out in spray. Always point it down. It sears human and dragon hide as well, so watch it. You'll need a few tanks of agenothree for every Fall. They're kept near the firestone sacks." She points as she speaks and then nods. "Got it?" Meanwhile, Kylith watches the poor dragons try and belch flame.*
