Subject: 46 Years & 4 Years of Music

It will soon be 46 years since that dreadful night when G's rose into the icy night skies as smoke and glowing cinders, leaving us with embers, charred timbers and blackened memories. For those of us still around, still remembering, it might be just a some-thing tucked away in a far corner of mind and heart, but for others, it's still as painful as it was at the moment, and in the moments, days, weeks, years that have followed.

Truth is, there aren't many of us around any longer. "Life" has sent some of us off, into those very skies, maybe back to G's... where it is now. But for those of us still here, still remembering not only the place, but, most likely, the people, the music, the grounds, maybe a romance or the end of a romance, what-ever it might be, well, I, your social media and web-site keeper still has the most vivid memories of a great many events that were born at G's, and to that end, because of that, and knowing that my yesterdays now FAR out-number my tomorrows, I decided to make a bit of a "bash", a major musical trip back.

So, that said, I invite you all, whether by your-self or with others (just as we went to G's... alone or with others) to be sure to check the "Juke-Box" on "Minds" on Saturday, 18 January 2020. (Link included below.) Work is in the makings for some-thing quite great... recounting 4 years of music history... The "Billboard Top 100" for 1971-1974. Yes, I know, G's was taken from us in January 1974 which would have meant that there couldn't be much in the way of 1974's hits to be included. But, as it was at Mr. G's, you just might be surprised to see what was already on the juke-box in 1973 that made it to the "Hit List" of 1974! We were WAY ahead of SO much, in a great many ways and respects, to be sure.

Anyway, please do follow the link. I don't believe you need an account on Minds to enjoy the music. If you do, I'll just say that, for the most part, it would be worth the little bit of effort to create one. There's a lot of information, and art, and talent to be found there. ***BUT*** don't ever forget that, on the site, there's a listing of ALL of the music that's posted to the Minds "channel", alphabetical by title, so you can check that out as well AND YES, there WILL be 400 more titles added there, as they're added to the "Group".

As I say, personally, my yesterdays already out-number my tomorrows and, well, they say that "once it's on the Internet, it's there forever". Fine. Wonderful. "They" took G's from us then... "they" won't take it from us again.

I hope you WILL come by, listen, enjoy, remember and I hope you'll drop a line with comments or post here or... as you wish. Receiving words from folks who were there and others who've expressed their regrets that they never had the honour is what keeps all of this moving and going. I truly, whole-heartedly appreciate it, and I thank you. See you in about a week... at the juke-box!
