It was an ugly game and the coaches and players admitted as much afterward. But I agree completely that the fans can help create a more positive home court advantage for the team during both good and bad games.

What I REALLY fail to understand are the few fans who speak loudly and derisively about specific players during the course of a game. Do they think their lone, negative, angry screams will be heard by the players who will then think, 'Hey, that guy is right! I've been doing this wrong all game long...I'm so glad he was able to improve my play.' Do they think that just maybe the player will then go into the stands and thank their informative fan for their insight?

Instead, couldn't these fans use all of this energy and volume to actually cheer for the team when the going gets tough?

Whatever...there will always be a few people who fail to realize that the team is made up of college kids who give their all every day in practice and games. Isn't that the beauty of being a mid-major fan in general? Either way, I'll be there with the large contingent of fans who still try to help bolster the Dead Zone's cheers of 'Defense' and 'Let's Go Saints' regardless. Hopefully, more and more will do the same.

Let's Go Saints!
