I'd say it's more important to build a program for the long haul than to come in like VBK and put in the Westhead offense for some quick wins that people will forget when SBU is 9-19 next year.

Baron's approach was to build the program, that's what Lanier is doing at Siena.

No way you can say that VBK is recruiting. And not to say he's a great bench coach either - he's only tried one stragey - shoot 3s and press. Give Lanier credit for doing different things and succeeding.

It's very hard to win with other peoples players and Lanier succeeded (finally) at the end of last year.
