Regarding Hispanic women, yes ones who grew up here are more likely to smoke than recent immigrants. I saw a study that found Hispanic women who exclusively speak English have equal smoking rates to white women, while those who only speak Spanish have smoking rates near 0%. This explains why in New Mexico, where Hispanics have lived in the area for hundreds of years with few new immigrants, the Hispanic female smoking rate is near identical (and actually slightly higher) than for white women. Few states can say that. For men it's the exact opposite pattern with Spanish speaking new immigrants more likely to smoke than Americanized Hispanic men.

I think the peak of younger women smoking 120s was the 1980s. Not that it was ever huge. There were at least 2 girls I went to school with at UNLV circa 1986-87 who smoked VS 120s and I remember loving it but not being especially surprised. It seemed within the realm of normal at the time.

Yes I flew in. Missoula and Bozeman (I haven't heard anyone complain about that city yet) are possibly in driving distance but I had no interest as nice as they probably look. This was way too far to drive so I flew. I booked early and got a great fare that probably isn't much more than the cost of gas if I drove here (which I wouldn't). Anyways it's kind of fun exploring somewhere new.

There is a cute young Native American girl at the front desk, very friendly and she has a smokers cough. I have heard it a lot talking to her as well as coming and going out of the hotel. I think it's highly likely she smokes considering the sky high Native female smoking rate, approaching 50%. I doubt I will get to actually see her smoke though.
