Perception of time is weird, and there's a couple of things likely going on. Obviously a spanking hurts and is a bad experience. The brain tends to slow down time perception during those events. There's also the issue with time perception getting faster as you get older. A minute when you were 14 felt longer than a minute when you're 30.

Pair all that together and I can fully understand how many of us feel like we were getting spanked for five or ten minutes and it was only two. The prep was longer than the spanking.

what struck me the most is when friends talk about they were spanked many of them got spanked with an implement like wooden spoon.

me and my siblings has only been spanked by hand and to be hounest never more than 5 firm smacks to the bottom I grew up in a christian home but it seems that many of my friends in their christian home their parents did use the rod instead the hand like my parents the spanking I wittnessed or heard about was not longer than mine the difference was the use of the rod/ implement
