Subject: Another LCD PCC Project Update

I'm sorry I haven't had a very active presence, I recently got a job and they've been working me silly.

Anyway, I wanted to drop a couple pictures of my LCD PCC. I installed the LCD panel I bought - an 8.4" 800x600 Hosiden LCD (HLD0804-10401) that fit the display opening quite well. I also cut and attached plastic pieces to fill in the curved (40.1 cm radius) gaps at the top and bottom edge of the LCD - which fit so well that the seam isn't visible from further than six inches. The DVD drive is installed, with a slotted opening cut in the PCC's front just beneath the display, complete with an indentation for your finger (using plastic scavenged from my old Q630).

Here are a few photos:

Even though the LCD Panel is installed, it is not yet working. I've found a vendor of the Digital View LCD controller board I require, but have not yet found a source for their Hosiden connection kit (basically some special cables and an inverter). If anyone knows where I can buy these items, please drop me a line. I'd love to get this computer working.

Nice to see you found this forum, MISUTHiKU. :)
