OK. I won one of the auctions at $38. While I've seem the same panels listed at $275 from surplus stores, we must avoid the danger of assuming that $38 is an irresistable bargain, since if we can't get it working, it's just $38 + shipping wasted. The seller will let winning bidders buy more panels at the same price. It's possible that another member of this Forum is going to ask me to get a couple, and he may act as a shipping base in the US to avoid to-oing and fro-ing across the Atlantic.

The purpose of this post is to say that if any Forum members want a panel, then they must let me know within 24 hours.

Conditions are:

Cost is $38 plus shipping. We'll strive to minimise costs, but the seller's shipping costs are not low, and there'll be the second stage to pay for.

No warranty expressed or implied is offered as to their suitability for CC conversions, nor as to the availability or cost of the necessary parts for completion of any project.

Unless you have been around here for a long time, or are well known in the LEM community, or have _stunning_ feedback on eBay, then payment by PayPal within 36 hours from now of something around $70 will be required upfront, with any adjustments made later.

If a few get on board, it could become a good team project, sourcing all the other parts, etc etc, so don't be put off by the 'rules' - I just need to avoid an uncertainties about what's on offer!

Any further contribution from John about what we'll need to find would be appreciated.

Stuart
