I returned home from vacation to find my "new" Performa 6360 waiting for me (an ebay purchase). As part of my set-up I removed the internal modem because I want to use my nifty Sportster 56k (external) modem with this machine.

Of course, Jeff, the 6360 internal modem is the very same modem you are talking about, and as you say, it's just a tad too tall to fit in the CC case without cutting a slot for it. I guess I was hoping for a modem I could use without having to cut the case, which I have not done to my poor little Mystic.

Chris, are the modems you talked about in your post the same as those Jeff is talking about? In other words, will I have to cut a slot to fit them in my Mystic? Is there perhaps any kind of little internal modem that will fit in the CC case without cutting it, and if so what would be the brand(s) and model number(s), so I could keep an eye out for one no matter how rare?

On the other hand, if I do have to cut a slot I have the modem now, and it's a nice 28.8k modem too.
