If you want more than 64MB RAM, I suggest you follow the advice of one of my e-mail correspondents, who says thusly:

I wouldn't pay the obscene amount that MicroMac quotes for a so-called BigSimm, but I did just buy a 128 MB 72-pin EDO SIMM from Coast to Coast Memory [now $29]. Anyway, I popped it in the ouside slot of my Performa 580CD, and, after what seemed like an interminable boot up time [the startup RAM tests take a LONG time with more than 64MB RAM on most Macs], it worked like a charm giving me 196 MB of RAM on board, since I already had ... a 64 MB [module] from OEMPCWorld, which works in both slots on the 580.

There have been a few reports on this forum of using 128MB SIMMs in a 575 motherboard without problems as well. I believe MemoryX was the vendor for at least one of those, but at $29 plus shipping, if you're in the US, it can't hurt to try it. If it doesn't work, the worst you'll lose is (possibly) the shipping costs, since Coast-to-Coast warranties their RAM for life.
