Subject: 575 Analog board in a CC

Guys, tell me what you think of this. As I have mentioned before, the LC 520-575 analog boards ar virtually identical to the CC's, except that they are wider, and they are already setup for stereo sound and 640 X 480 graphics. I have access to a large number of these boards, so I looked at the possibility of using one in a CC. Most of the extra Width is just blank board with nothing on it at all. You can trim the right side with no problems, but the left side is a little more problematic. Up at the front of the board, there is a section that sticks out about 1 inch with some resistors and what not on it. I believe, given the amount of skill we have on this board, that we could figure out a way to gut that section off and re-locate it, soldering wires from that cut traces. With that in mind, I attached a 575 analog board to my CC's tube and a 575 logic board (minus the chassis). I get video, but it is fairly small, about 2/3 the normal size. The right edge has a blue line running down the edge. I am pretty sure we could make this work. Does anyone have any ideas? No mods have been done to the cable, the logic or the analog boards. I also tried using the harness out of the 575, and I got the same result.
I am assuming that it is probably a monitor sense line issue, and not a under voltage issue, since the 575 will handle 640 X 480.
Lets hear your ideas!

Jeff H.
