O.K. Here's my experience so far. I modified my first analog board using the pocedure to isolate pin 8 and solder a wire from it to pin 10. As far as I can tell, you MUST do this no matter what version of the analog board you have. I then moved the resistor from from J78 to J79, but I did not
make a solder bridge on J78. I also installed the resistor at CL26 and I did not up the voltage on the board. This worked perfectly, until I plugged in the push button board backwards, which basically destroyed the board. I obtained a second board, and did the pin 8 and 10 procedure. I did not have J78 and J79 on this board, so I went ahead and installed it (after I installed the resistor at CL26 and installed the board. It worked fairly well, but the flyback transformer on the analog board emits a high pitched whine. It may have done this before the modification, I am not sure. The other problem I had was that when I was adjusting the barrel distortion out of the screen, the only way I could get the screen straight on the left and right sides, was to have it slightly to wide left to right, about 1/8th of an inch on either side. It is totally usable and I am reluctant to cut pin 20 at the analog board, based on what I have read here about people killing the board and such. I think the problem is a missed step. It appears that you have to solder another wire between 2 pins, near the analog board connector, after you cut pin 20. If anyone has any info on this, please let us know!
