Subject: Performa 275 Analog problems

I just want to say, for the record, I hate this type of analog board! O.K. Now that I've gotten that out of my system... I started my VGA analog board modification yesterday. I went to Radio Shack and bought A new Meter and bought a new Dremel tool at Sears. I Isolated pin # * of ZP1 and soldered a wire from pin 8 to pin 10. I cut the trace to pin 20 at the edge connector. I installed the board, and I got NO VIDEO! Arrgh! No popping or burning components either, thankfully. I remembered that there was a reference to this modification on one of the Takky Q&A pages at: http://homepage2.nifty.com/Kan-chan/faq.html
The forth question down is the one to read. I went to Radio Shack and bought a 4700 Ohm resistor and soldered it from pin 20 to pin 9 (the closest pin on the power edge connector) and Viola! Video returns! I do not have my adjustment tools at home, but I will keep you posted as to how the video looks after I adjust it.
The mystery continues...
