VGA mode is impossible with the standard-CC logic board.
If you want to change VGA mode, your CC should be Mystic or Takky.
With standard-CC logic board, 13" mode is the only way to get 640x480.

I think that standard-CC logic board is not suport this extended support.

To get 640x480, you have to deceive the logic board.
Where should you deceive the L/B?
The answer is "where you like".
If you do the VGA mode mod on flat cable and also do the 13" mode mod
on the edge connector of the analog board, VGA is effective, I think.
The reason is that VGA mode mod is nearer to L/B than 13" mode mod.
L/B considers as if the connected monitor is VGA monitor.
But I recommend only one sense line modification.

You have to done this on the L/B side.

Now I have one question.
With 84V & VGA mode sense line, we can get 800x600(SVGA)?
The setting of SVGA sense line is the same as the setting of VGA sense line.

Actually, if you have done VGA mode mod, you can see the choice
"800x600" with the choice "640x480" on the monitor control panel
with the system 7.X & 8.x.
If you challenge this, DO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
There is no guarantee (that is the world of modification).
CC will be broken when the worst.
But if someone get success, please inform me!!!
