For your own purposes maybe create a private/anonymous (e.g. ProtonMail) webmail account.

If members need to do the same in order to be able to post, you could include a "how-to" (create a disposable mail account) as part of the new forum's description.

As well as deterring spammers from flying by and depositing offensive/illegal links, requiring an email account of new users might also be Voy's way of trying to keep out any other kind of "trouble-makers".
