 i found this place on the internet and want to ask if it's fair to get spanked for disrespecting elders.

but like i don't even think i was that rude. it's just that my dad has a rule where kids have to call adults sir or maam to show respect.

i got kinda annoyed and called it dumb and said i wouldn't do it, and that got me a butt whooping.

he also warned me that if I'm disrespectful like that again, i'll get spanked instantly no warning.

it's just such a dumb rule. is it fair? does it even make sense?
