Well, if that's how you see it, then that's how you see it! However you commented before (unless I misunderstood you) that your cousin fondled girls, including you, in your family, and then your parents punished you when you came forward about the situation.

That's not placing high value on family. (At least not if you consider those girls as part of the family)

That's placing high value on the male genitalia!

I can honestly say that if one of my grandsons were caught fondling one of my granddaughters, as a grandparent I would move to protect my granddaughter.

Sure I would seek to get my grandson the help that he needs, the boy you described obviously needed help, himself! But you and the females that he abused deserved protection, NOT punishment.

At least that's how I see the situation. I'd be surprised if my sons viewed it too much differently, as they both mostly adopted the morals I taught them!

(I wouldn't presume to speak for my daughters-in-law! But they aren't too different from me on a lot of issues.
