Rankings? I never really gave it much thought but...
These are all on the bare butt by the way, ranked from the easiest to the worst.

Hand
Yardstick
Flyswatter
"Cute Little Deer with a Bear Behind" Paddle
Hairbrush
Bath brush
Thin belt
Thick belt

There are a couple of exceptions. I wasn't counting them on the list because these weren't disciplinary, they were abuse.
I got switched by my Cousin Carmen once. It wasn't really a switch it was a hickory stick and she left me black and blue.
I got a hand spanking, more like a beating from my grandmother's second husband. He beat me black and blue as well.
