Well my parents are gone and mostly I feel I guess nostalgic about them. My parents were strict but even with that in mind, they were great. Even though I had chores to do and didn't get an allowance, I never needed anything and would even get some things I wanted when they could afford them. The chores we did was our way of contributing to the family just like they worked to contribute. That's why I willingly paid rent to live at home after eighteen.
Spankings were just a part of life, growing up. Most of my friends got them as well. Mom never "beat" us. If she was angry she would wait to "cool off" before spanking us. So it was never abusive.
Overall, I had a great relationship with my parents up until they passed away. I miss them terribly now. It seems thinking about and talking about the spankings I got, are just part of the list of memories from days gone by. So am I angry about the spankings I got from my parents, namely mom? Do I have any hard feelings or even any regrets? Absolutely not.
I enjoy sharing my stories with you folks.
