I had a friend growing up whose mother would spank him out in the open, in the living room in front of his sister and me. I’m not sure how many times it happened, but more than once.

I felt incredible second hand embarrassment and always kept my head down so I didn’t have to watch his moment of shame. So, I don’t know if he was bared or not, but I don’t think he was.

I never mentioned anything to him about afterwards, I felt like I had invaded his privacy enough already.
