Yes, well kind of.
Were we lived I think almost every kid got spanked but it was never a "public" event, at least not when it came to bare bottom spankings.

Many times however you would see a kid getting a few hard spanks on their bottom, over their clothes, either as a warning, or as they were being led away for a proper spanking in private.

Several times at my friend's house I would see her getting a few slaps on the bottom and most of the times I was asked to go home before the actual spanking began. The same when some of my friends were at my house. My mom would give me me perhaps a few solid smacks and tell the other kids to go home.

Although I do not recall the parents ever explicitly saying they would be giving a spanking, we all knew what was going to happen in a few minutes as we were all been there.

There were a few times though when you were NOT told to go home and you might just linger there awkwardly, as your friend would be led to some other room. Then you would not see it, but you would definitively hear it. I still recall now the sounds of the hand (or brush, belt, or whatever implement) smacking the bottom and my friends howling and bawling. Then they would be back, flustered with red eyes and perhaps a few tears still. It was so embarrassing to witness and made everything afterwards quite awkward for a while.

It was definitively embarrassing AND humiliating if you were at the receiving end of it, as I was a few times. Once I came home from school and two friends were with me. We had to work on a school project together.
Now I knew I had earned a sore bottom, which I was dreading the whole day, but I imagined my mom would deliver it after we were done with the project and my friends had left. However I was not that "lucky" that day.

My mom grabbed me by the arm and said "Emilia and I need to have a talk". I instantly knew what would happen and I tried to resist and pull back saying we could do it later, but a hard smack over my skirt told me my negotiations had failed.

I was led into another room, pulled over my mom's lap and after my panties were pulled down she started spanking me on my bare bottom by hand first and then with a hairbrush. It must have been at least a solid few minutes of me yelling and crying loudly. Of course I tried to be quiet, but I was already crying midway the hand spanking and lost all control when the hairbrush started cracking down on my bottom. I was bawling then.

The worst, of course, was facing my friends afterwards, walking out with tears in my eyes and still sniffling. We all got spankings, and we all heard someone get it before, but still it felt very humiliating. My friends did what we all did, pretended nothing had happened, although of course it was super awkward still.
