I understand the curiosity, because in this day in age anything more than a quick smack on the butt in public to correct a kid's behavior is almost unheard of. Back in the sixties and seventies, public spankings were much more common and even bare bottom was not all that uncommon. It was all just part of life. As far as our obedience goes. I guess it never really dawned on us to refuse to obey. But I know from my own experience with being spanked by my Mother, whether if I didn't pull my pants down, she would have, with no hesitation. As the Borg of Star Trek fame say, "Resistance is futile. We pretty much learned, struggling or resisting, only made it worse for us. It was better to go ahead and get it over with. Now for your questions... 1. Yes, all five of us were spanked by hand at that particular time. She wasn't really carrying any implements with her at the time. But in truth, her hand spanking was sufficiently painful and the embarrassment also was a key factor in the punishment. 2. While we were waiting, we all pretty much sat in silence. we knew what was going to happen from the threat made earlier. But we didn't know if it was going to happen there on the stairs or where. But she let us know in no uncertain terms, she was going to spank our bare butts in the store, or as she more colorfully put it, "In front of God and Everybody." 3. When she came back, the first words out of her mouth were , "All right kids, lets go." and then she took us over to the Shoe Department near the back of the store. She did quietly scold us on the way and let us know again she was going to spank our bare butts. 4. That I can't honestly answer. We all got spanked pretty good, I couldn't tell you how long or how many swats, but it seemed to last quite a while for each of us. All the spankings seemed to be pretty long. I know there were five very red butts by the time each of us got spanked. I actually got a glimpse of mine in a mirror on the wall when I came off Mom's lap. It was very red. She did seem to spank my brother and Carmen a little more than she did the rest of us. I guess with them being the oldest, that could be expected. 5. Jimmy probably left his pants down the longest. He was still bare from waist to knees holding his butt and crying as my spanking started. But he had pulled his pants back up by the time my spanking was done. When I came off of Mom's lap, I hesitated for a moment or two to pull my pants up, when I saw the reflection of my butt in the mirror. But then realizing how many people were watching, I pulled my pants back up. Robby, Paul and Carmen were all pretty quick to pull their pants back up after their spankings. 6. Yes Carmen, being the oldest of the five and only girl, was easily the most embarrassed. Especially being the only teen who was getting spanked out of the group. Keep in mind, she was also the unofficial ring leader. Also, not only did she have to stand there and watch the four of us boys getting spanked, knowing she was going to be getting the same, but the crowd grew as the spankings progressed, so like I said, there were roughly twenty-five to thirty people standing there watching. So it had to be especially embarrassing for her at thirteen. Also, the top she was wearing wasn't as long as our t-shirts. It only came down to her hips, so when she pulled her pants down, she was fully exposed both front and back and had to get across Mom's lap really quick to cover up in front. I can tell you from other times seeing her exposed, she was already pretty well developed for her age. So that had to add to her embarrassment. As far as us boys. All four of us were pretty vocal when we were getting our spankings. Jimmy cried the most out of the boys, but I wasn't very brave either. Robby did cry but he did more hollering than actual crying. My brother tried to hold back, but he did a lot of yelling too, but not as much crying as the rest of us. 7. I can say, Carmen was blushing especially when it was her turn. Her face was dark red when she was trying to talk Mom out of spanking her. I know I was blushing, but I really didn't notice it so much with the other boys. As far as what the were focused on, It seemed they were paying more attention to watching the spankings, than the crowd. I didn't really notice the crowd until after my spanking. But I paid more attention to the spankings than the audience. 8. I'm not really sure why Karen got spankings over Mom's knee in her teens. She was sixteen the last time I saw her get a spanking which was over Mom's knee on the couch in the living room. Like my brother and me, she got some spankings standing up, bent over the kitchen table, or laying across a kitchen chair or the arm of the couch. But she still got some over the knee. I know the last one she got was when she was seventeen, when Mom caught her smoking. She got that one over Mom's knee but I wasn't living at home at the time. She told me about it after the fact. Which while I had sympathy for her, I had also warned her after the close call she had at fourteen, getting caught with a pack of cigarettes in her room. Mom was getting ready to spank her with paddle in hand, when I stopped her. I heard Mom fussing about the cigarettes she found, and I walked into my sister's bedroom and said, "Mom those cigarettes are mine. They must have fallen out of my jacket pocket a little while ago when I was in here talking to Karen. Since Mom knew I smoked that brand, she believed me and handed them to me. In truth, I had quit smoking cigarettes by then and switched to cigars. My sister was very grateful that I lied for her. I warned her that she needs to be more careful, because the next time, I might not be there to cover for her. Regarding Carmen's spankings, the only times I ever felt bad about seeing her get spanked, were the two times I mentioned before. Otherwise, she got no sympathy at all from me. She was mean spirited and a bully. She enjoyed getting us in trouble and I believed she actually enjoyed spanking both Jimmy and me. She certainly did it any time she could find an excuse, or make up an excuse to do it. So seeing her get spanked, usually made me feel a sense of justice. Also, seeing my brother get spanked sometimes gave me a case of the "warm fuzzies". Because there were so many times he would do something and then blame it on me which would more often than not, result in both of us getting spanked. He would literally tell me, "If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me." It's funny, it bothered me to see my sister get spanked, and sometimes she and I were spanked together. But the only time I was bothered seeing my brother get it, was when I got it too, and being the younger, I usually got my spanking before he did. As far as Carmen and Paul's ages go. In truth I believe that any kid after the age of ten or eleven is too old for a spanking, but, If they are going to do things they KNOW they will get spanked for, or certain behaviors like lying for example, then they aren't too old to be spanked after all.
