My would be considered strict now but for the late 60s early 70s normal even lenient we got hand paddle or belt depending on what we did but when school was out we could play outside and bike ride to friends houses until 5 o clock sharp for supper most spankings were hand or small over panties that put a sting in my sister and my bottom the belt was for serious reason like a school paddling which was common then and yes girls got it if needed
