Hi,

Yes my parents were strict especially my mom. Spankings were guaranteed for lying, bad language, bad attitude (After warnings), serious offenses (Like stealing, after curfew, detention at school).

There were times I got grounded instead. Mostly it was me trying to negotiate alternative punishments instead of a spanking cause I hated it. But it of course depended on the situation.

Oh most definitely! Especially when my mom got the paddle. There were times she gave in and gave me ONE last warning, but also lots of times that she didn't hesitate.
