This spanking wasn't a part of the movie. It was a playful one given at the end of the "curtain call" as the movie finale. Patti was introduced somewhere in the middle then the mom was the last one and then she walked to the sofa where Patti is seated and she shakes her finger at her saying, "and as for you..." and sits down beside her and instantly yanks her over her knee and begins playfully spanking Patti and her yelling a bit since the blows must have stung a bit. After about the fourth swat, the scene fades out.
I did watch the movie though I didn't care for mystery movies and taped it on VHS but later taped over it Merlin only the spanking scene since I have been a spanko since @964; All in fun, of course! I don't actually practice it though.
