Yes my mother always was at least 1 step ahead of me. She could always tell if I was lying or attempting to conceal something. I often wondered how she knew.
Id think I was so clever and was going to get away with something. Like I had gone up on a power line and climbed up the tower. This was way out of site. Now she didnt ever allow me to go or do this. But to.my Shock she asked me when I got home if I had gone to the power line and climbed. I hesitated but told her no. She looked me in the eye and said Jimmy are your telling me the truth? I broke and confessed. She spanked me soundly
And I asked her later how she knew
Her didnt really answer.
