Yes. I think they sis, since that was the "go to" punishment in our house and all my friends' houses too. I think our parents understood that frequent spankings are good for children.If they didn't enjoy it, they would not have found so many excuses for scorching our behinds. I'll be honest, I always enjoyed spanking my four sons for the same reasons, not only do they curb bad behavior,they immediately clear the air in a way "grounding" or deprivation of privileges cannot, both of which are drawn out punishments which require a parent to play jailer when they should be doing other things.Then, there is the positive physical effects of a spanking. A good sound spanking causes the spankee to burn as much energy as if they ran a mile. It also encourages the development of the gluteus muscles. (Tell me you never noticed in gym showers that the kids who got the most spankings had the roundest, best developed butts.)
