Hi Tim, enjoyed reading your post! I received many spankings from my babysitters and on a couple of memorable occasions, one of my sitter's friends-see an earlier post of mine! I had one sitter called Donna who liked to bathe me before bed and dry me off afterwards! I got a couple of good spankings off her for not going to sleep when I was meant to. I was reading my comics instead when I should have got my head down! I was pulled out of my bed; my pajama bottoms were not just taken down but actually removed and over her lap I went for a good spanking. My eight year old bottom, softened up from being immersed in hot water whilst being in the bath, was soon red, hot and sore. I can still recall the prickly heat that radiated from my buttocks! Also the feeling of the fabric of her skirt on my midriff and genitals as I lay over her lap. I slept on my tummy those nights though by the morning the redness had gone and though my bottom was still a bit tender only the faintest traces of the spanking still remained. Donna definitely had a thing about bathing me and I'm sure administering the spankings was in no way a disagreeable task either! Like so many high school girls, virtually all of whom were still subject to bare bottom spankings themselves, being able to be the ones giving the spankings was something they truly relished!

Yes the 1940s to late 1980s was a very different world! Looking back now the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s, in particular almost seems like a foriegn land! I think in the 80s things started to change though, as other posters on this forum have stated, especially in rural locations and probably many urban areas as well, the old ideas, attitudes and practices still endured. Though I think it eas then that these tradition values and beliefs were stating to be questioned. This is my opinion anyway!
