The spankings I got at home, were bare bottom by either hand or hairbrush. Almost every time I got spanked from my first one at six until my last one three days after my eighteenth birthday left me a crying mess, with a sore bottom that lasted for sometimes up to several hours. My own hard headedness got me more spankings than anything else. I often did things knowing I was risking a spanking. Also being the overly chatty kid I was (and still chatty today) got me in trouble at school which got me spankings at home. I can say with all honesty that I learned from the spankings I got at home, but sometimes it took a few spankings to get the message through my thick head. I never got a spanking from either of my parents that left me bruised or bloody, However, I did get a couple at school and from my Granny that left me with marks and bruises that lasted days. The usual spankings I got at home left me embarrassed, especially in my teens and with a red bottom that stung for a few hours at the worst. As far as I'm concerned any spanking that leaves marks, welts, bruises or whatever that last for days. is straight up child abuse. There were a few things I did do that got me spanked and I learned my lesson from it and learned not to do it anymore, like lying. After getting caught in a couple of lies and getting my butt spanked for it, I learned the truth hurts a lot less than getting caught in a lie. Cheating, I got caught letting Ramona cheat off of me in my Seventh Grade English Class. She and I both got an F on the test, five licks each from the teacher and a good spanking when we each got home. That was the first and last time I was involved with cheating. Dropping "F" bombs, Momma hates that word and when I said, it to her she washed my mouth out with soap and blistered my bare butt with a hair brush. I don't use that word even as an adult today. I also got fewer spankings in my teens than I did as a kid or a tween. Mainly because it was finally getting through my thick skull that I was the cause of those spankings. So in my mid to late teens, I got a lot less spankings because I got in a lot less trouble. So repeat offenses and all, I can honestly say I got spanked hard enough.
