Sonya, do you think your spankings were hard enough? You got a lot for repeated offenses. At younger ages, we got spanked with one of those lighter fli-back paddles, which stung plenty, but it was just a red behind for a few hours. Then the spanking stick was introduced, which was more substantial. It left bulls-eye marks that took days to fade. I don't remember anyone ever getting the bulls-eyes for the same misbehavior twice.

The marks were not deep bruises, but still made sitting uncomfortable the next day. I'm glad your bottom didn't get bruised, but wondered what you think about harder spankings like that. Are they too much? Is it better to have more non-bruise red-cheek spankings, or fewer spankings that mark the bottom for several days?
