If I got in ANY kind of trouble at school it was a violation of rule number 6 in the list of rules posted in our house, "6. I am in school to learn. I will do so to the best of my ability. I will obey my teachers and others in authority at the school. If my grades do not show that I am trying my best, or if I misbehave in school, I will be punished at home even if I have been punished by the school." It meant a serious, long, butt scorching that would leave you with a dark red butt, and sitting gingerly for at least the next day. As an adult I continued the same rules in my house with my own children.
