My sister is 10 years younger than I am. My parents had definitely mellowed on some stuff as she grew up, and my mom was more open to non spanking punishments. Not sure my brother or I ever got a non-corporal consequence.

When she did get a spanking though, hers tended to be on the severe side because they were more reserved for the worst of the worst offenses.
