To us boys Dad gave huge spankings and we viewed his yardstick whacks as the worst punishment used on us.

His spanking method was so damn effective cause he didnt need to give many whacks to make us sore and sorry. Meant that when he did hand out a longer spanking it hurt an 11/10.

Reasons i think they were effective.

1. Well spaced out several seconds between each smack. Meant i felt the full burn of each one.

2. Spacing out smacks allowed the yardstick to be used to its max potential. Rapid fire could have definitely hurt, but a parents smacking this way could lose technique. The yardstick whacks we go were max power.

3. Dad had this knack of landing the 1st whack across the centre of my bottom and then just kept on whacking that same spot on repeat with laser precision. Getting the same spot whacked on repeat hurt so bad cause the target area was already on fire
