Subject: Faking your reaction to a spanking

I'm wondering if anyone ever exaggerated their reaction to getting a spanking in the hope that the spanker wouldn't spank as hard, or end it sooner? If so, did it work?

I never did this myself. The few times that I got spanked, by the time I was over my mom's knee, I wasn't in the headspace to even try to fake my reactions. BUT, I did once see/hear another kid do it, and it seemed like she was somewhat successful. Let me set the scene.

When I was 15, my mom had a friend of hers come visit for a week, and the friend had a daughter, let's call her Sally. Sally was about 7 years old, and imho, a bit of a brat. I remember being unimpressed with her behavior at the time, and thinking that I would have gotten spanked for acting like she did, and that I would have deserved it. In additional to her general brattiness, she liked trying to hurt my dog, which really pissed me off. I saw her slam his tail in the sliding glass door "by accident," and she tied him to a bed using the sheets.

So, when her frustrated mother announced that Sally was going to get a whipping, I was pleased, because I thought she deserved it, and because I hoped it would stop her misbehavior.

There was a short hallway in the house, with a bathroom at one end, then the guest room, then my mom's small office, then my room at the other end. Sally's mom took her into the guest room, and shortly there was lots of wailing coming through the walls. "No, Momma, not the belt!" "Waaaaa!" "Waaaaaa!" She sounded like she was being chopped up by an axe-murderer. Despite hearing her quite clearly, I didn't hear even one smack, so the spanking couldn't have been very hard.

Then she started begging, asking to go to the bathroom. Her mom let her, and her crying continued, up until she was in the hallway and had shut the door. Then she STARTED TO SING to herself. Her jaunty little tune continued in the bathroom, and right up until she went back in the guest room, when her blubbering routine started again.

I poked my head out of my room at the same time that my mom stepped out of her office. We just stared at each other in disbelief at what we had heard. My mom did tell her friend about it, and her friend looked a bit embarrassed and just said, "That little shit!"

So, did anyone else attempt this, and were you as successful as Sally, or did it possibly backfire?
