I mostly followed his advice, but at one water polo match at age 14, I was taking a breather and let my eyes wander when a young mom in the bleachers fully exposed her breasts to feed her baby. I was beet red with embarrassment and sat down legs crossed to hide my erection, difficult in tight Speedos.
