My mom would have both me and my brother go with our swimsuits on but let us have the option to take them off once we were there. My brother was always too shy and left his trunks on but I would be pulling my one piece swimsuit down and leaving it in the car the moment we got there, I usually wouldn’t even bother putting it back on even when we were driving back and just get dressed in normal clothes again at home.
