My brother Marvin got his first swimming trunks after his 12 only but I had swimsuit on beach after my 7.

It was usual then for boys be naked on beach, although, girls much younger than they wear swimsuits. Of course, it was double standard but all parents did so

I certainly grew up same way!

I was told boys being naked in summer was a gift you give the girls. If any other boy did I was told to join them. till even 14. We would even ride in car naked to beach back then.

Another boy I grew up with younger than me would not wear clothes at home all summer. I would join him often. His siter was my age but I never felt embarrassed.

It wasn’t unusual when on beach naked boys play together with girls in swimsuits until at least 12-13.

We would often go around cape Canaveral on lagoon or ocean side and it was always relaxed. One mom I went with had two boys and a girl. If I went with them boys were always naked all day. Were you disappointed that he got to wear swim trunks at 12 and you could no longer see him playing at the beach naked?

I grew up same way. I was always naked in summer growing up.

As far as I know it started at Y in summer where small group of boys in rust belt signed up for summer swim and rec classes. It is hard to believe by todays standards but we did swimming and rec hour naked too.

I made friends with one boy and his mom would pick us up and sometimes take us to beach on weekends. Boys would go nude on beach up into first year of puberty. I was plainly told to go nude on beach always and loved it. I always wanted to go.

Far as I know maybe half boys under 10 were naked sometimes.
We never covered erections and got a little red. The girls were wide eyed at first and got used to it fast. Some were obviously not allowed to go with us as well.
