 We actually do not often use cornertime WITH spankings in our house. Occasionally we use them with the girls as a "shape up or get spanked" sort of warning, but that's usually it.

Early in our marriage, we tried cornertime after a spanking for me a few times... but we honestly have both preferred to hug it out after a spanking instead. I just really need Ruben afterward, if that makes sense? And we always extend the same to our girls, too. We don't rush the hugs after a spanking!
