 There have been several mentions of wives being spanked by or in front of their mothers-in-law. One was posted by Mabel where she talks about how gratifying it was to see her haughty daughter-in-law bared and spanked. To quote part of her message: 'Slowly approaching her husband, Ruby was objecting, “Don’t! Don’t do this to me!” while staring daggers at me. I admit seeing my DIL’s anguished embarrassment is pleasing as she often thinks highly of herself so being bare bottom spanked in front of me really brings her down a peg.

I'm sure Ruby is not the only young wife to endure the ultra-embarrassment of being spanked in front of her own mother-in-law. I certainly have, more times than I can count, and in my case even BY my mother-in-law. The MIL/DIL relationship is usually a tense one, with the DIL seeking to assert her independence and the MIL wanting some control. I'm sure there are many more explanations as to what leads to these tensions.
